KENSMUIR STAR

Photo Photo

I purchased Kensmuir Star from Bill Gary and Mary Sullivan of Kensmuir Stockdogs in November of 2008. He is a grandson of Julie Simpson's International Supreme Champion, ##Moss, and of Derek Scrimgeour's Ben.

Star is growing into an athletic, well-mannered youngster that is a pleasure to have in my kennel. This talented youngster made his debut on stock at 7 months, and showed lots of style and natural abilities that continue to surpass my expectations. At the tender age of 15 months, Star competed in the nursery division of his first-ever sheepdog trial and won the first day's competition.

Please watch Star's progress through The Real Time Canine. In this digest I chronicle his daily lessons in words and pictures and send it to you via email every Sunday. Please join us for Star's journey from puppyhood through training to success as a working sheepdog.

JED

Photo Photo

At 8 weeks old, Jed has just been added to my kennel full of promise, and already learning the ropes here at BorderSmith. He is a grandson of Stuart Davidson's former International Supreme Champion, ##Star by way of his mother, Llona Brandenburg's Sweet. That makes him related to my former Moe, a son of ##Star, and the main reason I chose to take a pup from this mating of Sweet and Suzi Applegate's 2008 USBCHA Nursery Champion, Buzz. Amanda Milliken owned ##Star in retirement using him on her deep bench of great bitches, including little Jed's grandmother on his mother's side, Milliken's Grace. Extremely clean and very engaging, this pup has already begun to impress me, and I am excited and pleased to have him with me. Please check back often for updates to his progress.
